NETROKONA, July 2, 2025 (BSS) - A two-year old boy drowned in a pond at Manikpur village of Lenggura union under Kalmakanda upazila of the district this afternoon.
The deceased was Momin, son of Omar Faruk, a resident of the same village.
Momin was playing in the yard of his house at 11 am and suddenly fell into a pond near the house and drowned, police said.
Later, the family members rescued the child and took him to Durgapur Upazila Health Complex where the on-duty doctors declared him dead.
Officer-in-Charge of Kalmakanda Police Station Lutfur Rahman confirmed the incident.
