NARAIL, July 2, 2025 (BSS) - A carpenter died after being electrocuted at Raghunathpur village of Purulia union under Kalia upazila of the district this afternoon.
The deceased was identified as Tofazzel Hossain, 42, son of Ayub Hossain, a resident of Chandpur village of the upazila.
The carpenter's associate Surut Hossain, 35, was injured at the time.
Police said Tofazzel was working in a tin shed house and he got electrocuted when a tin accidentally fell on an electric wire. He died on the spot.
Officer-in-Charge of Kalia Police Station Abdullah Al Mamun confirmed the incident.
