Activist of banned BCL held with local weapons in Gopalganj

GOPALGANJ, July 3, 2025 (BSS) - A team of joint forces arrested an activist of the banned Bangladesh Chhatra League and recovered locally made weapons during a drive in the Bus Stand area under Kashiani upazila of the district early this morning. 

The arrestee was identified as Nahid Hasan Apu, 26, son of Abdur Razzak Sheikh, a resident of the upazila. 

Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Kashiani Police Station Kamal Hossain said acting on a tip-off, a team of joint forces conducted a raid at Nahid Hasan's house and arrested him. They recovered eight chapatis, an axe, two knives, two sickles, two bottles of foreign liquor, and a mobile phone from the spot.

A case was filed in this connection.
