KURIGRAM, July 3, 2025 (BSS) - The Detective Branch (DB) of district police today arrested former political private secretary (PS) to former state minister for primary and mass education Md Zakir Hossain from the town.
Arrested Rashedul Islam, 45, worked as the political PS of the state minister who is also a cousin of the former state minister. Rashed is a resident of Mondalpara area under Roumari upazila of the district, police said.
A team of the DB, acting on secret information, arrested Rashed from the PTI area of the town.
Officer-in-Charge (OC) of the DB, Md Bozlar Rahman confirmed the arrest and said he was involved in various crimes and terrorist activities during the fascist regime.
