2 held with 22.6-kg ganja in Lalmonirhat

RANGPUR, July 3, 2025 (BSS) – Rapid Action Battalion (RAB)-13 arrested a presumed drug trader with 22.6 kg of ganja from village Purbo Kadma under Hatibandha upazila of Lalmonirhat district on Wednesday night.
 
An operational team of RAB-13, from its Rangpur battalion headquarters, in a drive seized the huge quantity of smuggled ganja and arrested the two men from the spot at 8:50 pm,” a press release said today.
 
The detainees were Md Sujan Mia, 22, son of Md Mozammel Haque and Md Matiul, 31, son of Md Aiyub Ali both from village Purbo Kadma under Hatibandha upazila of Lalmonirhat district.
 
The elite force handed over the arrested persons with seized goods to Hatibandha police station for further legal action, the release added.
