Drug trader held with Yaba tablets in Ctg

CHATTOGRAM, July 3, 2025 (BSS) - Members of the Chattogram district police 
conducted a raid and arrested an alleged drug trader with 8,000 pieces of 
Yaba tablets from the Banskhali sadar area today. 

The arrested was Md Saifur Rahman, 44, hailed from 
Anantapur village under Shyamnagar Police 
Station in Satkhira district.  

Officer-in-Charge (OC) Saiful Islam of Banshkhali Police Station confirmed 
the incident and said that a check point was set up in front of the 
Banshkhali Police Station round 8 am today (July 3) based on a tip-off 
leading to the arrest Saifur with the Yaba tablets. 

The Yaba tablets were being transported from Chakaria in Cox's Bazar. Later, 
a motorcycle used for transporting Yaba was confiscate and the trader was 
produced before the court.
