RANGPUR, July 4, 2025 (BSS) - The Rapid Action Battalion (RAB)-13 arrested an alleged drug trader with 25.5 kg of ganja from village Bonchowki Matherpar under Hatibandha upazila of Lalmonirhat district early today.
The detainee is Md Shariful Islam, 30, son of Md Nazir Hossain of village Bonchowki Matherpar under Hatibandha upazila of Lalmonirhat district.
Acting on a tip-off, an operational team of RAB-13's Sadar Company from its Rangpur battalion headquarters in a drive seized the smuggled ganja and arrested the man from his house in the village at 3:45 am, a press release said this evening.
The elite force handed over the arrested person with seized drugs to Hatibandha police station, the release added.
