MUNSHIGANJ, July 4, 2025 (BSS) - Two people were killed in a road accident on the Dhaka-Chattogram highway this evening when a motorcycle was struck by a bus.
The deceased were Mehedi Hasan, 29, the motorcyclist and his passenger Md Mahmudur Hasan, 30. They were the residents of Matlab upazila in Chandpur district.
The accident occurred around 6:00pm in the Baushiya area of Gazaria upazila, according to police sources.
Mehedi Hasan and Md Mahmudur Hasan were going to Cumilla when a passenger bus of Trisha Paribahan hit the motorcycle from behind, leaving the duo dead on spot.
Shawkat Hossain, in-charge of the Bhaberchar Highway Police Outpost, confirmed the incident and stated that the bodies of the deceased are currently in police custody at the outpost.
