PIROJPUR, July 16, 2025 (BSS) - Marking "July Martyrs' Day", prayers were offered today in all mosques and other places of worship in the district today for the forgiveness of the martyrs of student-people mass uprising.

The prayers were offered at the Pirojpur Central Jame Mosque after Zuhr prayers for the peace of the departed souls of the martyrs. 

Organised by the Pirojpur District Administration, Deputy Commissioner Md. Ashraful Alam Khan attended the event as the chief guest. 

Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Alauddin Bhuiyan Joni, Pirojpur District BNP Convener Principal Alamgir Hossain, Pirojpur Sadar Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Mamunur Rashid, District Social Service Officer Md. Iqbal Kabir, District Sramik Dal General Secretary Afzal Hossain Tipu, District Businessmen's Association General Secretary Ahsanul Kabir and others were present.

The programme was also attended, among others, by the families of July uprising martyrs and injured of the district and local political party's leaders and dignitaries. 

Khatib of the Central Jame Masjid Maulana Zubair Hossain conducted the prayers.
