DHAKA, Aug 17, 2025 (BSS) – Jamaat-e-Islami Secretary General Professor Mia Golam Parwar today said the July declaration remains incomplete.

“The July declaration must be made inclusive, reflecting the demands of the people and political parties, and the July charter should be given a legal foundation,” he said.

He made the remarks while addressing a national seminar organized by Jamaat-e-Islami Bangladesh at the Institution of Engineers auditorium in Ramna.

Parwar warned that without a legal foundation, future governments may not comply with the commitments made in the declaration.

Noted Supreme Court Lawyer Advocate Mohammad Shishir Munir presented the keynote paper at the seminar, which was chaired by Jamaat-e-Islami Nayeb-e-Ameer and former MP Dr. Syed Abdullah Mohammad Taher.

Khelafat Majlish Secretary General Dr. Ahmad Abdul Quader, National Citizen Party Member Secretary Akhter Hossen, Islami Andolon Bangladesh Presidium Member Mawlana Ashraf Ali Akon, and Bangladesh Khelafat Majlish Secretary General Mawlana Jalal Uddin, among others, were present.
