MADARIPUR, July 17, 2025 (BSS) - An egg trader was killed in a road accident in Ashram area under Dasar upazila of the district this morning.

The deceased was Nur Nabi, 45, a resident of the area. 

The accident took place when an egg-laden pickup van fell into a roadside ditch as its driver lost control over the vehicle, leaving its passenger egg trader Nabi injured, said Sheakh Md. Ahteshamul Islam, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Dasar Police Station. 

Injured Nur Nabi was taken to Kalkini Upazila Health Complex where the on-duty doctors declared him dead.
