BAGERHAT, July 17, 2025 (BSS) - Members of Forest Department today arrested two individuals with venison during a raid on a passenger bus at Baburhat Bazar area of Mathbaria in the district.
The detainees were identified as A Salam, 40, son of Jonab Ali from Kachua Thana and Md Jakaria, 25, of Sannyashi village under Morelganj Thana.
Bagerhat East Forest Department officer Rezaul Karim said that acting on a tip-off, a team conducted a raid on a 'Rajib Paribahan' bus and recovered the deer meat from the suspects.
A case has been filed with the concerned police station in the regard.
