Woman held with one lakh yaba pills in Ctg

CHATTOGRAM, July 18, 2025 (BSS) - Rapid Action Battalion (RAB-7) arrested an alleged female drug peddler with one lakh yaba pills from a residence in Raipur village under Anwara upazila last night.

The arrestee was identified as Monowara Begum, 43, wife of Anwar Mazi, a resident of the same area.

Senior Assistant Director (Media) of RAB-7, ARM Mozaffar Hossain, said acting on a tip-off, a RAB team conducted a raid at a house in South Paruapara under Anwara upazila around 11 pm and recovered the yaba pills.

The arrested woman was later handed over to Anwara Police Station, and a case was filed in this connection.
