KCC Administrator offers munajat at July martyr Sakib's grave

KHULNA, July 18, 2025 (BSS) - Administrator of Khulna City Corporation (KCC) and Khulna Divisional Commissioner Md Firoz Sarkar offered munajat this morning at the grave of 'July Uprising' martyr Sakib Raihan.

Chief Executive Officer (Additional Charge) Sharif Asif Rahman, Chief Engineer Moshiuzzaman Khan, martyr Sakib's parents Md Azizur Rahman and Nurun Nahar Begum, KCC officials, and local leaders of BNP, NCP, Jamaat-e-Islami, Islami Oikko Jote, and the Anti-Discrimination Student Movements, among others, were present on the occasion.

Later, KCC Administrator Md Firoz Sarkar handed over financial assistance to Sakib's parents.

On July 19, 2024, Sakib Raihan, a student of the hafez section of Baitus Sabur Madrasa in Mirpur, and a resident of Nabopolli area on Golam Moktadir Road under Ward-18 of KCC, embraced martyrdom in police firing on Road No-20 in Mirpur, Dhaka.

He was laid to rest at Basupara graveyard in Khulna city on July 20.
