Tree plantation programme held in Magura in memory of July martyrs

Magura, July 19, 2025 (BSS)- A tree plantation programme was held on the premises of the Deputy Commissioner's Office here this morning in memory of ten brave martyrs from Magura who sacrificed their lives during the July mass uprising.

As part of the "July Reawakening Program," the District Administration of Magura organized the initiative aiming to honour the freedom-seeking souls through symbolic green tribute.

The programme began at 10:00 AM with the planting of ten trees, each representing a martyr.

Deputy Commissioner of Magura Md. Ohidul Islam attended the event as the chief guest and planted a tree in remembrance of the martyrs.

Superintendent of Police Mina Mahmuda was present as special guest.

Officials from various departments, local freedom fighters, and civil society representatives also participated in the event.

Speakers at the event recalled the sacrifice of the martyrs and expressed commitment to uphold their ideals in building a greener and stronger nation.
