MADARIPUR, Aug 2, 2025 (BSS) - A minor boy went missing after falling into the river Arial Khan in Farajikandi Kheya Ghat area of Kalikapur union in Sadar upazila this afternoon.
The child named Sulaiman, 3, is the son of local resident Sumon Bepari.
The child went to the river bank near his house and suddenly fell into the water and disappeared instantly, said eyewitnesses.
A diving team of the Madaripur Fire Service reached the spot and is continuing rescue operations. However, the child has not been found.
Madaripur Sadar Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Adil Hossain said, "The fire service was informed immediately after the incident. They are trying to search the river and rescue the child. He has not been found yet."
