Youth held with Yaba tablets in ctg

CHATTOGRAM, Aug 13, 2025 (BSS)- The Bangladesh Coast Guard (BCG) arrested a Yaba trader with 1,200 pieces of contraband Yaba tablets from the Sitakunda Coastal area here early today.

The arrested, identified as Md. Shoukat, 27, of Sitakunda upazila, was found with the illegal substances.

Lieutenant Commander Rafit-As-Sami, media officer of the BCG, confirmed the incident. 

Acting on a tip-off, a team of the BCG detained Shoukat with the Yaba tablets in the aforesaid area last night, he added. 

Sami mentioned that the Coast Guard handed over the arrested person to the 
respective police station with a case.
