JHENAIDAH, Aug 21, 2025 (BSS) – Students of Jhenaidah Agricultural Training Institute today planted over 1,200 saplings on the campus as part of a tree plantation campaign to build a green institute.

The campaign was inaugurated at noon by planting saplings of jackfruit.

Director of the Department of Agricultural Extension Md Belal Uddin joined the programme virtually as the chief guest.

Students planted more than fifty varieties of fruit trees, including coconut, betel nut, palm and sweet tamarind, at different spots on the campus.

Deputy Director of the District Agricultural Extension Department Shashti Chandra Roy, Principal of Jhenaidah Agricultural Training Institute Md Hasan Warisul Kabir, trainers and trainees of the institute joined the event.
