CHATTOGRAM, Sept 4, 2025 (BSS) - The holy Eid-e-Miladunnabi, commemorating the birth and demise of the Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH), will be observed in the port city on September 6 with religious fervour and solemnity.

A colourful ‘Jasne Julush’ rally will be held, starting from the city’s Sholosohor Alamgir Khankha Sharif around 8 am on Saturday. The event is organized by Anjuman-e-Rahmania Ahmadiyya Sunnia Trust (ARAST).

Gausia Committee Bangladesh has also urged devotees to organize processions in their respective district headquarters on September 6. Advocate Moshaheb Uddin Bakhtiyar, coordinator of ARAST, informed journalists that the procession is adorned and lively all over the city.

Preparations and campaigns are in progress not only in the city but also in various districts, upazilas, and even villages of the Chattogram division.

Bakhtiyar told BSS that preparations for the procession have been ongoing for a month. Responsibilities have been assigned based on 53 years of experience. The work is progressing smoothly, he added.

Awalade Rasul, Allama Syed Muhammad Sabir Shah (RA), will lead one of the world's largest processions organized by Anjuman-e-Rahmania Ahmadiyya Sunnia Trust (ARAST). Shahzada Syed Muhammad Qasim Shah (RA) and Syed Muhammad Mehmud Ahmad Shah (RA) will be the honoured guests at the procession.

The city is adorned with beautifully decorated arches at various intersections in preparation for the procession. Red and green national flags, Anjuman flags, banners, and festoons cover the road islands and divisions.

The stunning illuminations at Kazir Deuri intersection, Jamia Ahmadia Sunnia Madrasa, Khankah area, and Anjuman flags on Madunaghat Bridge are captivating.

In celebration of Miladunnabi (PBUH), Milad and Fateha arrangements are being made in different neighbourhoods by sacrificing cows.

This year, volunteers from the Anjuman Security Force (ASF), Gausia Committee Bangladesh, and Jamia students will participate.
