Eid-e-Miladunnabi observed in Magura

MAGURA, Sept 6, 2025 (BSS) - The holy Eid-e-Miladunnabi was observed today in the district with due religious fervor and respect.

On the occasion, the Islamic Foundation organized an Islamic cultural competition, a discussion meeting, and a prize distribution ceremony at noon at the District Model Mosque and Islamic Cultural Centre in Parnanduali village under Magura Sadar Upazila.

Muhammad Mojib Ullah Farhad, Deputy Director of the Islamic Foundation, Magura, presided over the meeting, while Deputy Commissioner Md Ohidul Islam attended as the chief guest.

Hafiz Maulana Mufti Habibur Rahman, Imam and Khatib of the Central Jame Mosque of Magura, delivered the keynote speech.

Speakers at the discussion highlighted the ideals, teachings, and messages of the great Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH) as well as the importance of Islamic education. Teachers and students from various institutions and madrasahs across the district took part in the event.

Later, prizes were distributed among 24 students who won competitions in essay writing, Qur'an recitation, Hamd-Naat, and extempore speech.
