JHENIDAH, Sept 23, 2025 (BSS) - To ensure a safe and peaceful celebration of Sharodiya Durga Puja, 101 mandaps in Kaliganj Upazila will be equipped with Closed-Circuit Television (CCTV) cameras.
Security measures across all temples in the district have been significantly strengthened, according to a preparatory law-and-order meeting held ahead of Durga Puja, the biggest religious festival of the Hindu community.
The meeting was held at the Kaliganj Upazila Administration Hall this noon. Jhenidah Deputy Commissioner Md Abdul Awal attended as the chief guest.
It was revealed that law enforcement agencies will intensify special patrols to ensure the security of all 101 puja mandaps in the upazila. In addition, guards and volunteers will be recruited.
Representatives from various political, social, and religious organizations were also present.
The district and police administrations also assured full cooperation to ensure a peaceful celebration of Sharodiya Durga Puja.
