Press Council Chairman meets journalists in Kuakata

PATUAKHALI, Oct 02, 2025 (BSS) – Bangladesh Press Council Chairman Justice A.K.M. Abdul Hakim held a meeting with journalists at the Kuakata Press Club on Wednesday.

Presided over by Press Club President Ruman Imtiaz Tushar, the event was attended by Kalapara UNO Kausar Hamid, Assistant Commissioner (Land) and Kuakata Municipality Administrator Yasin Sadek, and Tourist Police In-Charge Nazmul Islam.

The Press Council Chairman said journalists need to be educated and aware of the law to face future challenges. He also said a national database of journalists is being created. Though it is a difficult task, the council is making its best effort to complete it, he added.
