RAJSHAHI, Oct 13, 2025 (BSS)   - Speakers at training programme today said   Knowledge acquired from Imam training could be the vital means of eliminating moral degradation of youths.
 
The trained imams could play vital role in eliminating all sorts of social degradation and menaces, they told at the certificate giving and closing session of a regular 45-day foundation training course of the 1190th batch of Imam Training Academy at its conference hall in Rajshahi.   

Commissioner of Rajshahi Metropolitan Police (RMP) Muhammad Abu Sufian addressed the session as chief guest with Dr Asem Ali, Deputy Director of the academy, in the chair.

Abu Sufian said imams have a vital role towards the field of ensuring food security as their attachment to the cross-section of people in the present society is very strong compared to other professions.
 
They can disseminate important messages related to innovative and modern agricultural technologies and high yielding varieties of crops, fruits and vegetables to the grassroots people easily.
 
He urged the religious leaders to disseminate information among the people for building a peaceful society through eliminating all kinds of malpractices in the society.
