SATKHIRA, Oct 18, 2025 (BSS) - Members of Bangladesh Coast Guard (BCG) in a
drive have seized 45 kilograms (Kg) of venison from Shyamnagar upazila of the

On a tip-off, a BCG team from Kaikhali Coast Guard conducted a drive around 1
am in Parshekhali Bridge area of the Sundarbans under Shyamnagar upazila and
seized 45-kg venison and 12 deer legs, said a press release signed by BCG
Media Officer Lieutenant Commander Siam-ul-Haq this afternoon.

"Sensing the presence of the Coast Guard team, the poachers fled away," the
release said, adding that the seized deer meat has been handed over to the

The Coast Guard will continue such raids in the future to prevent the killing
