Fugitive wanted in multiple robberies held in Ctg

CHATTOGRAM, Oct 22, 2025 (BSS) - Rapid Action Battalion (RAB)-7 apprehended Md. Shamsul Alam, a fugitive wanted in several robbery cases from the Chandgaon area of Chattogram.

Shamsul Alam, 50, son of the late Sirajul Islam of Paschim Domra in Banshkhali, was wanted in two robbery cases registered at Banshkhali Police Station, RAB-7 Assistant Director (Media) A. R. M. Mozaffar Hossain said.

The arrest was made around 6:30 pm on Monday near Chandgaon Board School Rubel Colony following intelligence about his presence at the location.

According to the Criminal Database Management System (CDMS), Shamsul Alam is linked to 13 cases across Chattogram city and district, including nine robbery cases, three involving weapons, and one murder case.

After the arrest, he was handed over to Banshkhali Police Station for further legal action.
