Free helmets distributed among bike riders marking Safe Road Day

TANGAIL, Oct 22, 2025 (BSS) - Keeping in mind the slogan "Use quality helmets and maintain safe speed - reduce loss of life and property", free helmets were distributed in the district on the occasion of National Road Safety day.

On Wednesday, at the initiative of the Tangail Road Department, Executive Engineer Cynthia Azmiri Khan distributed free helmets among motorcyclists aiming to create mass awareness for saving lives.  

Sub-Divisional Engineer of the Road Department Zahidul Islam and TI of District Traffic Department Delwar Hossain were present.

Executive Engineer Cynthia Azmiri Khan said that helmets were distributed among motorcyclists to increase awareness about road safety, develop a culture of law-abiding and instill a sense of responsibility and safety awareness among citizens. 

A helmet is not just an object to be used in accordance with the law, it is a symbol of life safety. 

He called on all motorcyclists to wear helmets and obey traffic rules while riding on the road.
