KHULNA, Nov 3, 2025 (BSS) – Members of the Department of Narcotics Control, Khulna office, arrested an alleged drug peddler and seized 2,800 pieces of yaba tablets during a drive at Kudir Bottola intersection on the Dhaka–Khulna highway last night. 

The arrestee was identified as Md Russel Shikder alias Sajeeb, 21, son of Harun Shikder of Tikipara union under Mathbaria upazila in Pirojpur district.

Md Mizanur Rahman, Deputy Director of the Department of Narcotics Control, Khulna office, said acting on a tip-off, a team conducted the drive around 10:10 pm near Kali Mandir in the Rupsha Thana area and arrested Sajeeb while he was waiting for a customer.

A case was filed against the arrestee in this connection.
