Fire-affected shop owners given financial assistances in Munshiganj

MUNSHIGANJ, Nov 9, 2025 (BSS) - BNP leader Kamruzzaman Ratan has extended financial assistance of Taka 4 lakh to shop owners affected by a recent fire in Gazaria upazila of the district.

The aid was distributed among the victims at 10 am on Sunday in Dashkandi Bazar of Baushia Union. 

Kamruzzaman Ratan, Social Welfare Affairs Secretary of the BNP Central Executive Committee and the party’s nomination aspirant from Munshiganj-3 constituency, personally handed over the financial support to the affected traders.

He was accompanied by Professor Giasuddin Ahmed, member of the District BNP Convening Committee, Sirajul Islam Pintu, convener of District Krishak Dal, former Upazila Jubo Dal general secretary Aslamujjoha Chowdhury Tapan and other leaders and activists of BNP and its affiliated organizations.

A devastating fire broke out in Dashkandi Bazar around 4 am on Saturday, destroying several business establishments including hotels, restaurants, pharmacies, tea stalls, and eight general shops.
