Two fugitive convicts held in Ctg

CHATTOGRAM, Nov 10, 2025 (BSS) - Police arrested two fugitive convicts, who were sentenced to 10 years' imprisonment, from different areas in the city early today.

The arrestees were identified as Md. Manik Khan, also known as Manikya, son of Mohsin Khan, and Md. Yunus, son of Md. Siraj, both residents of Miakhan Nagar area of Dial Bari under Baklia Police Station.

Acting on a tip-off, police conducted separate drives in the Kotwali and Chandgaon areas around 6:30 am and arrested the duo, said Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Baklia Police Station Md. Iftekhar Uddin.

He said the two convicts were sentenced to 10 years' imprisonment in a case filed with Patiya Police Station.

The arrested convicts will be produced before the court, the OC added.
