Sarbojanin Mahasangghadan held in Rangamati's Rajban Vihara

RANGAMATI, Dec 12, 2025 (BSS) - The Universal Mahasangghadan or Sarbojanin  Mahasangghadan and a special prayer ceremony were held at the Rajban Vihara, a significant and internationally renowned Buddhist monastery, in Rangamati district today.

The programme was organised in the morning by the Universal Mahasangghadan Celebration Committee and residents of Naniarchar upazila.

Dipan Dewan, BNP-nominated candidate for the Rangamati-299 constituency and assistant secretary for religious affairs of the party's national executive committee, attended the ceremony as an honoured devotee.

The event was held in the presence of Rajban Vihara's residential chief, Pragyalangkar Mahasthabir, along with monks of the monastery. 

Celebration Committee President Pragati Chakma, former Naniarchar Upazila Vice-Chairman Rono Bikash Chakma and several thousand devotees also attended.

Special prayers were offered seeking the well-being, peace and prosperity of all beings in the world, as well as the overall welfare of the area, and for deliverance from all forms of obstacles and misfortunes.
