BNP candidate Farid for Bagerhat-3 constituency visits Khanjahan Ali's shrine

BAGERHAT, Dec 28, 2025 (BSS) - BNP-nominated candidate for Bagerhat-3 (Mongla-Rampal) constituency Lion Dr Faridul Islam visited the shrine of Hazrat Khanjahan Ali (R.) here tonight.

During the visit, Dr Faridul Islam offered prayers seeking the speedy recovery of BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia and expressed gratitude to BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman. He also participated in a special prayer at the shrine.

After the visit, addressing local leaders and activists briefly, Dr Faridul Islam said the BNP is committed to restoring democracy and ensuring the people's right to vote. 

He urged everyone to remain united and work together for the victory of BNP's electoral symbol, Sheaf of Paddy, in the upcoming elections slated for February 12, 2026.

Earlier, local BNP leaders, including the head of the shrine and former chairman of Shatgombuj Union Parishad Fakir Tariqul Islam, welcomed Dr Faridul Islam with flowers.

Dr Faridul Islam told BSS that on Sunday he will submit his nomination papers to the assistant returning officers of Mongla and Rampal upazilas, accompanied by party leaders and activists.
