KCC launches campaign to encourage voters to cast 'yes' votes

KHULNA, Jan 20, 2026 (BSS) - Khulna City Corporation (KCC) today formally 
launched a campaign to encourage voters to cast 'Yes' votes in the 2026 
referendum.

KCC Administrator Md Mokhtar Ahmed inaugurated the campaign in the afternoon 
by releasing balloons and festoons at the City Hall premises.

Marking the first day of the campaign, a bicycle rally was organised to raise 
public awareness in favour of the 'Yes' vote in the referendum. 

Members of the Khulna Cyclists Club, wearing T-shirts bearing the Referendum-
2026 logo, took part in the rally, which started from in front of the City 
Hall and toured different roads of the city.

KCC Chief Executive Officer Rajib Ahmed, Secretary Ariful Islam, Chief 
Engineer Mashiuzzaman Khan, Personal Secretary to the Administrator Md Amirul 
Arafat, Administrative Officer Molla Maruf Rashid, along with other officials 
and employees of KCC, were present on the occasion.
