Five members of RpMCH-centric brokers’ gang arrested

RANGPUR, March 11, 2026 (BSS) - The Detective Branch (DB) of Rangpur Metropolitan Police (RpMP) in a drive arrested five active members of the organised Rangpur Medical College Hospital (RpMCH)-centric brokers' gang. 
 
On a tip off, the DB of RpMC conducted a special drive in front of the main gate of Rangpur Medical College Hospital under Rangpur Metropolitan Kotwali police station at approximately 1:45 pm on Tuesday, a press release said this afternoon.
 
During the drive, five active members of the RpMCH-centric organised brokers' gang, who were roaming around with the intention of defrauding patients and their relatives by showing various temptations, were arrested from the spot. 
 
The arrested accused are: Md Monwar Hossain, 38, of village Bhutka under Gangachara Model police station, Md Rana Munshi, 35, of village Afzalpur under Mithapukur police station, Shri Ripon Chandra Sarkar, 30, of village Nandanpur Shyampur under Badarganj police station, Md Golam Rabbani, 32, of village Uttam Hajirhat and Md Aynal Haque, 33, of village Abhiram Manohar under Hajirhat Metropolitan police station of Rangpur district.
 
A case has been filed against the arrested accused at the RpMP's Metropolitan Kotwali police station in this incident.
