DAB hosts prayer and iftar mahfil with orphans in Narsingdi

NARSINGDI, March 17, 2026 (BSS) - The Narsingdi district unit of the Doctors Association of Bangladesh (DAB) today held a prayer and iftar mahfil at its office, sharing the occasion with orphans and street children.

On the occasion, special prayers (munajat) were offered before iftar, seeking eternal peace for the souls of Shaheed President Ziaur Rahman, former Prime Minister Begum Khaleda Zia and Arafat Rahman Koko, as well as peace, prosperity and welfare for the country and its people.

Following the prayers, iftar items were distributed among the attending orphans and street children.

The program was presided over by Dr M S S Hasan Al Jamir, President of the DAB Narsingdi district unit. Among others present were General Secretary Dr Nurullah Al Masud, Senior Vice-President Dr A Q M Mobin, Vice-President Dr Ashraful Hasan Manik, Treasurer Dr Pronob Kumar Saha, Assistant Office Secretary Tarikul Islam and Cultural Affairs Secretary Asaduzzaman Sumon.

DAB leaders said the event was part of their ongoing efforts to support underprivileged and marginalized communities, adding that such initiatives would continue in the future.
