Two held with huge drugs in Dinajpur

RANGPUR, Mar 27, 2026 (BSS) - Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) has arrested two persons with a huge consignment of Phensidyl-like drugs from Paharpur Akhrabari village near Kanchon Bridge intersection under Kotwali Police Station of Dinajpur. 
 
The arrestees were identified as Md Iqbal, 53, son of late Israfil of village Paharpur Akhrabari and Md Jewel Hossain, 30, son of Abul Hossain of village Uttar Balubari under Kotwali Police Station, said a press release issued this evening. 

Acting on a tip-off, a team of the RAB-13's Crime Prevention Company (CPC)-1 from Dinajpur Camp conducted a raid at the residence of the arrested persons on Thursday at 11:30 pm and seized a huge quantity of contraband drugs from the spot. 
 
The seized drugs included 141 bottles of Fairdyl, 102 bottles of RC Cuff+, 40 bottles of Eskuf, two bottles of Phencigrip, one bottle of Winserex, five bottles of Phensedyl and two bottles of Caros Brandy, totaling 293 bottles.

A case has been filed in the connection and arrested persons along with the seized drugs were handed over to Kotwali Police Station for further legal action, the release added.
