JOYPURHAT, March 29, 2026 (BSS) - The district administration has decided to
stop supplying fuel oil to motor vehicles that fail to present valid
documents, including a driver's license and vehicle registration certificate.

The decision was made at a meeting held on Sunday afternoon at the Deputy
Commissioner's conference room, organised by the district administration in
collaboration with members of the District Petrol Pump Owners Association.

The meeting was chaired by Deputy Commissioner Md. Al Mamun Mia and attended
by Superintendent of Police Mina Mahmuda, Additional District Magistrate
Mohaimena Sharmin, and leaders of the Petrol Pump Owners Association,
including Advisor Rawnkul Islam Chowdhury Tipu, President Ziaul Haque Al Amin
Chowdhury Rana, and General Secretary Abul Khair Md. Golam Maula.

According to the decision, petrol pumps and fuel agencies across the district
will not provide fuel to vehicles without proper documentation. Additionally,
motorcycles without helmets will not be provided fuel.

Officials said that the move aims to ensure fair distribution of fuel and
strengthen road safety measures. Authorities also announced plans to conduct
a drive against the illegal sale of fuel in the open market and to deploy law
enforcement personnel at petrol pumps.

To raise public awareness, large banners outlining the new rules will be
displayed at all petrol pumps across the district starting Monday.
