Two members of certificate forgery ring held in Rajshahi

RAJSHAHI, April 8, 2026 (BSS)- Members of the Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) have arrested two individuals involved in a certificate and marksheet forgery 
ring during an operation in Rajshahi.

Various electronic devices and a large quantity of equipment used in the forgery operations were recovered from their possession.
 
The drive was conducted around 10:45 pm on Tuesday in the Kumarpara area of the city by a team from RAB-5's Rajshahi Sadar Company.
 
The arrested individuals are Abhijit Mondal, 27, and Raihan Auwal, 21, both residents of the Boalia Police Station area of the city.

This information was confirmed in a press release issued by RAB-5 on Wednesday morning.
 
According to the RAB, the arrested individuals had long been working in coordination with each other to collect orders online from different parts of 
the country for fake marksheets and certificates.They would then produce and supply these counterfeit documents using various sophisticated methods.
 
During preliminary interrogation, the detainees admitted to being involved in forgery activities for a long time. Another, Abdul Bachet Riyan, is also 
involved with the ring. He hails from the Jatrabasa area under Baniachong Police Station in Habiganj. Efforts are ongoing to arrest him.
 
RAB also stated that a case has been filed against the accused at Boalia Police Station.
