BOA president, secretary general greet badminton team

DHAKA, April 8, 2026 (BSS)- Bangladesh Olympic Association (BOA) President and Army Chief Waker-Uz-Zaman and its Secretary General Jubaidur Rahman Rana greeted players, coaches and officials of the Bangladesh Junior Badminton Team for winning gold in Badminton Asia-South Asia Regional Junior Badminton Championship held in Islamabad, Pakistan.

The two Bangladeshi shutllers-- Md. Nazmul Islam Joy and SSM Sifatullah 
Ghalib-- won the gold medal in the Under-23 men's doubles event of Asia-South Asia Regional Junior Badminton Championship.

In a BOA press release today (Wednesday) reads that this victory has opened a new horizon for badminton in Bangladesh. This winning mentality will make all athletes dream of more success in the future and will inspire young players 
to develop their talents with a more professional attitude in the coming 
days.

The BOA wishes for a successful and glorious journey in the sports sector 
through the continuous development of all sports disciplines, including 
badminton, the press release concluded.
