Aminul greets two shutllers for winning gold

DHAKA, April 8, 2026 (BSS) - State Minister for Youth and Sports Md. Aminul 
Haque congratulated Sifatullah Ghalib and Nazmul Islam Joy for winning the 
gold medal in the men's doubles of the Badminton Asia South Asian Regional 
Championship held in Islamabad, Pakistan.

The State Minister in a message here today (Wednesday) said that the 
achievements of Bangladesh's young shuttlers in this international event are 
a matter of great pride for the country. 

He highly praised the indomitable spirit of Ghalib and Joy as they defeated 
the strong Nepali pair in the final to become champions.

The State Minister mentioned that the Bangladesh team's performance was 
remarkable in this tournament held at Liaquat Gymnasium Hall with the 
participation of six South Asian countries. 

Especially the 2-1 sets victory of Ghalib and Joy is a proof to their hard 
work and technical excellence.

The State Minister also hoped that this winning pair would bring many more 
international successes to Bangladesh in the future. 

He congratulated the players as well as the coaches and the officials 
concerned of the team.
