Zelensky says Ukrainian anti-drone teams will keep working in Middle East

KYIV, Ukraine, April 8, 2026 (BSS/AFP) - President Volodymyr Zelensky said Wednesday that Ukrainian military teams helping Middle East countries counter Iranian drone attacks would stay in the region even after the United States and Iran agreed a two week ceasefire.

"Ukrainian expert military teams will continue to work in the region to help further develop security capabilities," Zelensky said in a statement on social media, in which he praised the ceasefire deal and called for halt to the Russian invasion of his country.
