3-day 'BSCIC Entrepreneur Fair' kicks off in Barguna

BARGUNA, April 11, 2026 (BSS) - A three-day "BSCIC Entrepreneur Fair 2026" organized by Bangladesh Small and Cottage Industries Corporation (BSCIC) began today at the Barguna Circuit House ground here.

Jatiya Sangsad Chief Whip Nurul Islam Moni, MP, opened the fair virtually as the chief guest at 2:30 pm.

At this time, Barguna Zilla Parishad Administrator and District BNP Convener Nazrul Islam Molla inaugurated the fair by cutting the ribbon and releasing balloons.

Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) of Barguna District Animesh Biswas presided over the function. 

Among others, BNP leaders Saleh Faruk and Rezbul Kabir, and Islamic Andolan Bangladesh (IAB) General Secretary Abdur Shakur were present.

Speaking on the occasion, Chief Whip Nurul Islam Moni, also the elected lawmaker from Barguna -2 Constituency, said this fair would play an important role in showcasing the products of local small and cottage industry entrepreneurs and expanding the market subsequently.

Through this, the entrepreneurs would be able to create new consumers and business opportunities for accelerating the local economy, he added.

In the 'BSCIC Entrepreneur Fair', different stalls came up with various innovative products including domestic, handicrafts and foods. 

The organizers said the fair will remain open to public from morning to night every day until April 13.
