MANIKGANJ, May 1, 2026 (BSS) - The Historic May Day and National Occupational Health and Safety Day - 2026 was observed in Manikganj with the theme "Healthy Workers, Productive Hands, A New Dawn Awaits".

On the occasion, a discussion was held at the conference room of the Deputy Commissioner Office of Manikganj.

Additional Deputy Commissioner (Revenue) Mohammad All chaired the event and Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Mohammad Ali and Industries Deputy General Inspector Md. Mozammel Hossain, spoke, among others. 

They stressed the importance of ensuring the workers' health and safety, along with creating a secure and conducive working environment in all workplaces.

Earlier, a colourful rally was brought out in the district town from the Deputy Commissioner's office and after parading different roads, it ended at the same place.
