RMP holds meeting with hotel and motel owners

RAJSHAHI, June 10, 2026 (BSS) - Rajshahi Metropolitan Police (RMP) held a discussion meeting with owners and managers of residential hotels and motels in the city to strengthen security, maintain law and order, and improve service standards.

The meeting was held this afternoon at the conference room of the RMP headquarters, with RMP Commissioner Mohammad Faizul Kabir in the chair. Owners and managers of various residential hotels and motels operating under the metropolitan area took part in the discussion.

During the meeting, hotel and motel representatives said they were not currently facing any harassment or operational obstacles and expressed satisfaction with the prevailing law and order situation in Rajshahi city.

RMP Commissioner Mohammad Faizul Kabir underscored the need for further strengthening security arrangements in all hotels and motels. 

He directed authorities to ensure the installation and proper functioning of CCTV cameras, verify the National Identity Cards or other valid identification of guests, and maintain accurate guest records.

He also instructed hotel operators to immediately inform police in case of any foreign nationals staying at their establishments.

The commissioner further urged owners and managers to remain vigilant against criminal activities, including immoral acts, gambling, drug abuse, and drug trafficking within hotel premises. He stressed maintaining detailed records of employees and regularly monitoring their activities.

He assured full police support to businesses that comply with the law and said cooperation from hotel and motel owners, along with citizens, is essential to maintaining security and public order in the metropolitan area.

Among others, Additional Police Commissioners Al Mamun and Faruk Hossain, and Deputy Commissioners Golam Rabbani Sheikh, Shafin Mahmud, Mainul Islam, Din Mohammad, and Gaziur Rahman, along with senior RMP officials, were present at the meeting.
