Guardians urged to make school-going children study-oriented

GAIBANDHA, June 23, 2023 (BSS) – Speakers at a function here today urged guardians to make their school-going children study-oriented to build an enlightened nation in the days ahead.

“Students are the future of a nation. Therefore, they should be groomed with moral values alongside academic lessons,” they said.

They made the remarks while addressing a guardians’ congregation at the auditorium of Gobindaganj Government High School in Gobindaganj Upazila of the district this afternoon.

UNO Syeda Yasmin Sultana attended the event as the chief guest, while Upazila Secondary Education Officer Nurjahan Begum presided over the ceremony.

A number of guardians, including headteachers, also spoke at the function.

In her speech, UNO Syeda Yasmin Sultana urged teachers to be more sincere and punctual to ensure quality education for students so that they could achieve better results in all examinations.

A large number of students and their guardians attended the function.
