DHAKA, May 9, 2025 (BSS) - Fact-checking body Rumor Scanner has detected that an old video of fire in India is being circulated as an Indian army attack at Sialkot in Pakistan.

On May 6, multiple explosions were heard in Pakistan-administered Kashmir.

India claimed that in an operation called 'Operation Sindoor', they carried out air strikes targeting several installations associated with Jaish-e-Mohammed and Lashkar-e-Taiba in Pakistan.

Pakistan claimed that they shot down five Indian warplanes.

In this context, a video is being circulated on social media claiming that it is a scene of the Indian forces attacking at Sialkot in Pakistan.

In an investigation, the fact checking watchdog identified that the video being circulated is not a video of Indian forces attacking Sialkot, Pakistan.

The video is a fire in a gas cylinder truck in Dharavi, Mumbai, India, on March 24, it added.

During the investigation, a video was found posted on the Facebook page of Indian online news channel N9 India on March 25. The scene and surroundings of the video are similar to the claimed video.
