DHAKA, May 18, 2025 (BSS) -  Fact-checking platform BanglaFact, operated by the Press Institute of Bangladesh (PIB), has identified that partial information has been circulated in different portals on a suspension order of an employee of the Chittagong Port Authority (CPA).

BanglaFact's investigation found that CPA suspended Md. Yasin, a senior operator of the port's mechanical department, on charges of violating the service rules, and later revoked it.

On May 17, Chittagong-based news portals seavoice and News Chittagong 24 made reports on the suspension, but did not mention the withdrawal of the suspension order.

Since the full picture of the matter is not revealed, these reports may mislead readers.
