TEHRAN, Aug 9, 2025 (AFP) - Iran's foreign ministry on Saturday welcomed the US-brokered Armenia-Azerbaijan peace deal but warned against foreign involvement, particularly on its borders with the two countries.

Iran welcomes "the finalisation of the text of the peace agreement by the two countries" but also "expresses concern about the negative consequences of any foreign intervention in any way and form, especially in the vicinity of common borders," the ministry said in a statement.
