GENEVA, Aug 11, 2025 (BSS/AFP) - The UN human rights agency on Monday
condemned Israel's targeted killing of six journalists in Gaza as a "grave
breach of international humanitarian law".

"Israel must respect and protect all civilians, including journalists," the
office of UN High Commissioner for Human Rights Volker Turk said on X. It
added that at least 242 Palestinian journalists have been killed in Gaza
since the Hamas attacks on Israel set off a war in the Palestinian territory
in October 2023.
