SEOUL, Sept 10, 2025 (BSS/AFP) - The return of hundreds of South Korean workers detained last week in an immigration raid in the United States has been delayed, Seoul's foreign ministry said Wednesday.

The delay is "due to circumstances on the US side", the ministry said, adding it is "maintaining close consultations with the US authorities to secure the earliest possible departure".

The workers were originally due to leave on Wednesday, US time.
