Khaleda Zia goes to son's residence from London hospital

DHAKA, Jan 25, 2025 (BSS) - BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia went to her son and party's acting chairman Tarique Rahman's home after undergoing treatment at London Clinic, UK for 17 days.

As her health condition improved considerably, doctors have advised her to receive treatment staying at home for the time being.

Her son Tarique Rahman took Khaleda Zia to his house at 9:30 pm London local time on Friday (3:30 am Bangladesh time).

Earlier, Tarique Rahman participated in the doa mahfil at the Bricklane Mosque on the death anniversary of his younger brother Arafat Rahman.

 Khaleda Zia's personal physician Dr. AZM Zahid Hossain said she would be kept under the full-time supervision of Professor Patrick Kennedy and Jennifer Cross even after getting discharged from the hospital.

On January 8, Khaleda Zia went to London for advanced treatment. That day, she was taken directly from London's Heathrow International Airport to the specialized private hospital 'The London Clinic'.
